Havre 77, Mexico City

Francisco Pardo + Julio Amezcua top historic house in Mexico with concrete and glass volume

Francisco Pardo and Julio Amezcua have transformed a derelict house in Mexico city by topping an existing 19th century structure with a new concrete and glass volume. Titled ‘Havre 77′, a name taken from its address, the renovated property now contains offices, co-working space, a residential component, and French and Japanese restaurants. ‘This is not just a restoration, it’s an intervention’, explains Francisco Pardo. ‘Our project aims to change the DNA of a neighborhood to respond to current social needs.’  (Photos © Diana Arnau)
